Safety rules for the climbing park in Skimore Oslo

  • You must have undergone safety training before participating in any of the activities in the climbing park.

  • Be sure that you have understood what is covered in the safety training.

  • Ask if something is unclear.

  • It does not count if you have undergone safety training in another climbing park or in previous years.

  • Persons under the age of 18 must have the approval of a guardian to participate in activities.

  • If you book for a group, you take responsibility for informing other group participants about the safety rules in Skimore Oslo.

  • Children under the age of 12 must not be alone in Skimore Oslo, but must be accompanied by an adult (over the age of 18).


Safety equipment

  • Never remove the harness on a trail.

  • The harness must be tight at all times

  • If you are not sure whether the harness fits correctly, contact an instructor immediately to check the harness.

  • If you have taken your harness off during the visit, an instructor must either put it on or check the harness before you climb again.

  • When moving on the trails/obstacles, you must ALWAYS be secured.

  • The safety equipment must be connected at the start of the trail and not disconnected until you are off the trail again.

  • The safety equipment must be treated nicely - remember; it is safety equipment.

Height and age regulations for all the different trails;
An accompanying adult is considered a person over the age of 18.

  • Balder
    Mainly for those under 110 cm and with Baldersele (Bambi).
    It is mandatory to use our safety equipment when climbing on the trail.
    Adults must accompany children along the trail.
    The adult then does not need safety equipment even when the trail runs approx. 1 meter above the ground.
     

  • Vilje, Ask, Embla and Frøya (green runs for those over 110 cm)
    Over 6 years = can climb alone, but the adult over 18 must accompany along the hill.
    Under the age of 6 ALWAYS have an accompanying climbing adult.
    At least one adult per
    4 children.
    Remember that height restrictions always apply.
     

  • Frigg (110 cm and taller)
    Must be accompanied by a climbing adult if the child is under 12 years old.
    At least one adult per 4 children.
    Children over 12 can climb alone.
    Remember that height restrictions always apply.

  • Sleipner, Loki, Thor's hammer and Bifrost (140 cm and taller)
    Under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an accompanying climbing adult.
    At least one adult per 4 children.
    Remember that height restrictions always apply.
     

  • Brage red and Brage black
    160 cm (or 140 cm, but then with accompanying climbing adult.)
    At least one adult per 4 children.
    Remember that height restrictions always apply.
     

  • Tiger Leap
    No age restriction, but minimum 20 kg and maximum 120 kg.

 

  • Activities

  • Read the notice for each activity/obstacle before you start.

  • Obstacles and activities have height and age requirements - read the notice before using the activity.

  • It is only permitted to start climbing at the beginning of the trail.

  • Make sure there is no one else on the zip line before connecting the pulley.

  • Do not touch the zip line while in motion.

  • In the event of any damage, near misses or faults and deficiencies in the facility, the staff must be contacted immediately.

  • Long hair should be put in a ponytail to avoid it ending up in the pulley.

  • You must follow the instructions from the instructors who patrol the climbing park.

Access to the activities is not permitted for:

  • Persons under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.

  • Pregnant.

  • People weighing more than 120 kg.

  • People with back or neck problems.


Access to the activities is not recommended for:

  • People with diseases that affect the heart/lungs, or who have other physical challenges.
     

By purchasing a ticket to Skimore Oslo, you agree to have read and understood the safety rules that apply to Skimore Oslo's activities. You understand that if the safety rules are broken, this can have serious consequences. Use of the high-altitude park can involve risks which, in the worst case, can lead to injury or death. You also understand that as a consequence of breaking the rules, you may be expelled from the activity without a refund of the ticket. You who are registered are over 18 or the guardian of a person under 18. As a guardian, you hereby give your child permission for the activities in Skimore Oslo. You yourself are responsible for ensuring that a guardian follows / looks after their own child and cannot entrust this responsibility to employees of Skimore Oslo.
